360 ft. Josh Pyke

So I went on a rant about the song Throw It Away by 360 ft. Josh Pyke and how it was a poor man's version of Homecomming by Kanye West ft. Chris Martin, also in the 360 song he rhymes change with change 3 times in a row and I was thinking how dumb that is on so many levels. I went on Youtube to find the songs to link to friends who I ranted about it to, then I couldn't resist commenting about this fact in the comments. Anyway I received about 10 replies from people saying I was a hater and it was genius, I was jealous and should do better. OK fair enough, so I made an attempt.

Here 'tis.

The Tide is Slowly Turning

People begging for a change really want something do
while its only time that seems to move
its not just about change, people want something true
not something borrowed and not something blue
you can only beg and want so long
before you take to the streets, people strong
with indignation and against whats told
when you realise to find the way is hard and bold
and as you add another billion that uniquely delve
it makes a billion times harder to save from themselves
do times really change if none are allowed to see it
hidden from view or distorted truth witnessed
Dont worry, in the middle the cleanup continues
carry on people and cover the sin that is in you
for the highest will always want to keep you down
the highest of self or the loudest of sound

the middle dont realise how well they have it
while the media want to make greed a habit
instead of everyone looking into a mirror
its time to reverse it and make the world clearer
clearer of mind, clearer of worth, clearer of lies, 
instead its become death by 1000 sound bites
we look to politicians to clear the air
but still the most pollution comes from mouths to scare
there are things that people shouldn't know
yet drawing that line are people behind the show
they are scared the curtain might be drawn
and that the power they have may one day be gone
they support dictators for their form of peace
then help them be killed when citizens release
claiming all the time they are in the right
thinking the people they rule are not so bright
that the truth will never see the light
that they've been slowly backing people into a fight

the tide is slowly turning.

I think I might have some more in me on this one but this is enough for now.
